Maria Titizian currently serves as Director of the Hrayr Maroukhian Foundation in Yerevan, is Vice President of Socialist International, and also represents the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun at the Socialist International Women. While in Armenia she has worked in the private sector, as well as in the NGO sector. She has worked as a writer, editor, and translator and continues to be a regular contributor to several diasporan Armenian newspapers. She has served as President of the ARF-D’s Women’s Committee, was a founding member of the Women’s Coalition of Armenia, and currently serves on the board of the Women’s Forum of the National Democratic Institute. Prior to moving to Armenia in 2001 she worked at the Zoryan Institute for Contemporary Armenian Research and Documentation, served as Constituency Assistant for a Member of Parliament of Canada, worked on numerous national campaign elections and served as president of the Armenian National Committee of Toronto and later as member of the board of ANC Canada. Ms. Titizian repatriated to Armenia from Toronto, Canada in 2001 with her family.
